Ider Church of God

Regardless of who we are, these are trying times. As Christians, we face the very real prospect of pointed, merciless persecution from our very own society and government if we continue to hold true to the teachings of the Bible. Many who call themselves Christians are buckling beneath the pressure, choosing to compromise God's Word, in spite of the fact that it does not belong to them. As God's Word, he is the only one who has the authority to change or redefine its parameters. For the rest of us, we are likely facing a difficult and trying road in the days ahead.

But the news is not all bad. In fact, we have reason to rejoice. In these days of danger and difficulty, we will live trusting in a God that will not fail to take care of his children. The Church's finest hour is upon us, and the contrast that will be drawn between those who serve the Lord and those who do not will be sharp. Great deliverances will be witnessed, and more lives will turn to God in this day than in any day prior to this. Great miracles will become common place, and the power of God will be once again revealed in the church. Keep your chin up and trust the Lord. He will not fail us!

                                                                                      God Bless,

                                                                                      Pastor Lambert

 Biography

Pastor Jonathan Lambert accepted his call into ministry at the young age of 16. He began to study and pray immediately for direction in ministry. Over the next couple of years,  he poured himself into personal preparation, including the development of his musical abilities. By the time he had turned 18, he was singing with the Psalmsters Quartet, a period of ministry that spanned two years. During this time, he met his future wife, Sandy, fell in love, and married her in June of 1989. They immediately began  in their first pastoral position as youth pastor's at the Guntersville Church of God.

After having been a youth pastor at another church,  and spending time as a music pastor in two churches, he is now in his fourth senior pastorate as pastor of the Ider Church of God.

Lexi came to the Lambert family in 2004 from the nation of Guatemala, and is nothing less than a ray of pure sunshine. She is Pastor and Sister Lamberts only child, and is growing to be a fine young lady with an enormous heart.
